Supply Chain Manager Intern, AWS Cloud Logistics

Description *Internship period: January to June 2027 AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. AWS Cloud Logistics (ACL) is looking for a motivated Supply Chain Intern to join our team in Singapore. In this role, you will drive documentation standardization, create internal enablement resources, build operational playbooks, and explore agentic AI solutions - all within a global supply chain that powers AWS's infrastructure worldwide. You will be able to leverage Amazon's suite of AI tools, Amazon Quick, and its underlying models to optimize your workflow and productivity while continuing to grow and develop your acumen in AI. Key job responsibilities Site Management Framework & Governance: Conduct site visits across APAC warehouses to understand operations firsthand, followed by a gap assessment of existing SOPs, governance, and reporting. Develop a standardized Site Management Framework covering vendor governance, SLA management, performance scorecards, RCCA processes, and escalation matrices. Establish a sustainable review cadence with clear ownership to ensure the framework remains current beyond tenure. SOP Development & Process Documentation: Author Standard Operating Procedures for key warehouse operational areas including receiving, outbound, inventory management, and exception handling. Develop standardized work instructions and process flows that enable consistent execution across sites and accelerate onboarding of new team members and WSP staff. Ensure all documentation is repeatable, clear, and audit-ready. Data, Analytics & Automation: Identify opportunities to automate recurring operational workflows using AI agent tooling and Python, such as daily metrics consolidation, exception alerting, SLA tracking, and vendor performance reporting. Build automated workflows and document them as replicable playbooks for adoption across the APAC network. A day in the life No two days look the same, but every day has a rhythm. Your morning might start by supporting an operational task for the team - pulling data, updating a tracker, or preparing materials for an upcoming review. You then jump into a call with internal stakeholders to align on a project deliverable, followed by a session with an external partner to understand how supply chain processes work on the ground. After lunch you meet with your assigned mentor, who helps you connect the dots between your projects and the bigger picture of AWS's cloud computing infrastructure and global supply chain. The afternoon is heads-down time on one of your dedicated projects - maybe drafting a playbook, building out a knowledge base page, or redesigning an enablement module. Between project sprints, you are meeting with teams across different functions and geographies to learn how our end-to-end supply chain operates and how AWS services underpin it. You also have a regular check-in with your manager to review progress, remove blockers, and discuss your development goals. Most days end knowing you have contributed to something the team will use long after your internship ends - and that you understand a little more about how the cloud gets built. About the team AWS Cloud Logistics (ACL) manages a continuously evolving portfolio of shipments through a worldwide supply chain. We deliver the right product at the right time, cost, and place - ensuring our AWS supply chain is reliable. You will work in a fast-paced environment where your contributions will have direct impact on operational efficiency and customer experience. Our team values builders who write things down, simplify complexity, and leave processes better than they found them. Diverse Experiences AWS values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply.
