TAX INTERN – SPRING/SUMMER 2027

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS & TIMELINE

To be considered for a 2027 internship with Larson Gross, please submit a complete application that includes:

- Current Resume

- Unofficial College Transcript

- Internship Personal Statement (1–2 pages) addressing the following: 1. Tell us about yourself beyond the classroom. Share the extracurricular activities, athletics, employment, volunteer work, organizations, leadership roles, community involvement, or other commitments that have been meaningful to you during high school and/or college. You may also include honors or awards you have received. What have these experiences taught you? 2. Why have you chosen to pursue accounting, and what interests you about an internship with Larson Gross? 3. Tell us about an experience that has contributed significantly to your growth. This could be an achievement, challenge, new responsibility, constructive feedback, or an experience that required you to learn something new. What did you take away from it? 4. As you think about beginning your career in accounting, what skills or qualities do you believe will be most important to your success, and how are you working to develop them?

As part of your application, you will also be asked to provide your:

- Expected graduation date

- Expected CPA eligibility date

- Accounting courses completed or currently in progress

- Accounting courses planned for your upcoming semester or quarter

Interview Timeline: Interviews are anticipated to take place from mid-November through mid-December. Some candidates may be contacted earlier as applications are reviewed.

Candidate Notification: All applicants will receive an update regarding their application status no later than December 18, 2026.

Internship Start: May or June 2027

Only complete applications received by November 15 will be considered.

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

A Larson Gross internship is an opportunity to experience what a career in public accounting is really like while learning alongside professionals who want to see you succeed.

As a Tax Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience in tax compliance, research, and client service while developing the foundational skills needed for a career in tax and public accounting. You'll work alongside experienced tax professionals, contribute to meaningful work, participate in training and professional development, and build relationships throughout the firm.

We don't expect you to arrive knowing everything. We are looking for students who are curious, willing to ask questions, open to feedback, and excited to learn.

WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE

During your internship, you may have the opportunity to:

- Assist with federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.

- Organize financial information and use tax software to support tax preparation.

- Prepare basic workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

- Research tax laws, credits, deductions, and regulatory changes.

- Learn how tax professionals identify opportunities and provide value to clients.

- Work alongside associates, senior associates, managers, and other professionals.

- Ask questions, receive feedback, and develop your technical and professional skills.

- Participate in training, networking, and other professional development opportunities.

- Build experience using technology, automation, AI, and other tools that are changing how accounting professionals work.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED

QUALIFICATIONS

- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Interest in a career in tax or public accounting.

- Intention to pursue CPA licensure preferred.

- Strong academic performance.

- Previous accounting or internship experience is a plus, but not required.
