POSITION SUMMARY

Trulioo is looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy intern to join our Sales Enablement team in San Diego. This isn't just a content creation role—it's an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of instructional design while helping educate, engage, and empower our global sales organization.

Partnering directly with Sales Enablement leadership, you won't just be executing tasks, you will be a strategic co-creator. You'll help design learning experiences, not just assets: taking complex product updates, tooling training, and sales methodologies and turning them into structured, effective training that actually changes how sellers work.

This is a 4 month part-time, fixed-term position from January 13 to April 23, 2027, based out of our San Diego office and working on-site 16 hours per week.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Instructional Design & Learning Strategy

- Partner with the Sales Enablement team to identify learning objectives and design training that maps to real seller behavior gaps, not just information delivery.

- Apply basic instructional design principles such as writing learning objectives, building knowledge checks, and creating rubrics to structure training modules, onboarding paths, and skill-building content.

- Help build a learning curriculum and content calendar, sequencing topics so training builds on itself week over week.

- Design assessments or knowledge checks to measure whether training actually lands, and iterate based on results.

Collaborate & Ideate

- Brainstorm and develop a weekly communications and training strategy for the sales org

- Gather feedback from sellers and sales leaders to identify skill gaps and translate them into learning content

Multimedia Content Creation (in service of learning outcomes)

- Design and produce high-quality visual assets like videos, GIFs, animations, infographics, job aids, and written stories.

- Build quick-reference job aids and microlearning modules that reinforce longer-form training.

Simplify the Complex

- Take technical information about Trulioo's products, internal tooling, and sales methodologies, and translate it into structured, learner-centered training

- You may use an AI tool such as Claude to help design training content using rich text HTML that will be placed into our Learning Management System, Highspot.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

- Canva Power User: High proficiency in Canva, including video, animation, and graphic design capabilities

- Curious About Learning: Genuine interest in how people learn and retain information, even without formal instructional design experience, we'll teach you the frameworks

- Strong Communicator: Excellent written and visual communication skills, with a knack for structuring information clearly

- Collaborator: Works well with colleagues to build strategy and execution in a collaborative way. Takes direction well.

- AI experience: Have used AI in the past to refine creative or business writing to build on initial ideation and the first draft.

WHAT YOU’LL GAIN

This internship is designed to give you real, transferable instructional design experience as well as a content portfolio. As part of this role, you will:

- Learn and apply core instructional design frameworks (i.e., ADDIE, Bloom's Taxonomy for writing learning objectives) to real projects

- Practice writing clear, measurable learning objectives before building any content

- Get exposure to learning needs analysis like figuring out why a training gap exists before deciding how to solve it

- Learn to distinguish between "information delivery" (a deck, an email) and "learning design" (something built to change behavior)

- Receive feedback and mentorship on your instructional design choices, not just your creative execution

- Build a portfolio piece demonstrating an end-to-end training module you designed, from objective-setting through to a knowledge check or feedback loop
