What you'll own

  • Collaborate with GM Motorsports personnel across departments
  • Learn and utilize Motorsports specific toolchains and software packages
  • Complete a primary project during your internship which will include:
  • Analyzing potential solution approaches and proposing a best course of action

Requirements and eligibility

  • Our Performance Analysis team is a small, highly skilled group dedicated to advancing our organization’s ability to derive actionable insight from the data and tools available across the GM Motorsport program.
  • To accomplish this, the group must collaborate across the greater Motorsports organization to identify, develop, and implement projects with long term value and learning potential.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Pursuit of a Bachelor’s, Masters, or PhD degree in Engineering or Physics

Preferred, not required

  • Interest in motorsports with documented involvement in school project team (Formula SAE, Indy Autonomous Challenge, or similar)
  • Completed system dynamics, controls, and/or vehicle dynamics coursework
  • Proficiency coding in python or similar with experience interfacing with databases
