With a career at The Home Depot, you can be yourself and also be part of something bigger. Internship Overview The Home Depot’s Summer Internship program offers college students an opportunity to develop leadership skills and gain hands on experience in a corporate environment.

During an 11 – week period from May 17 - July 30, 2027, interns will be assigned to a functional team such as Supply Chain, Marketing, e-commerce, Technology, Finance, Operations, Merchandising, Pro, Home Services, Human Resources, etc.

Interns will learn more about our retail business and our corporate offices while having the opportunity to work on a pre-assigned project that impacts the function they are supporting.

Additionally, interns participate in networking and development activities that set them up for success as they build their careers. Description of the Major/Subject Area: As an HR Intern, you will support initiatives that enhance the associate experience and help drive business success across The Home Depot.

Interns may contribute to projects focused on workforce engagement, talent attraction, recruiting, organizational effectiveness, systems, processes, and business-critical people initiatives while partnering with associates across the organization.

Throughout the internship, associates will gain exposure to real business challenges while supporting projects that impact talent strategies, recruiting, workforce engagement, and associate experiences.

Interns will work closely with leaders, mentors, and business partners while developing project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

As part of the internship experience, associates may support project planning, process improvement initiatives, stakeholder communication, business presentations, and recommendations that help improve the associate experience and support organizational goals.

Preferred Qualifications: • Rising Senior, pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Communications, Organizational Development, Management, or a related field • Strong project management and organizational skills • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams • Strong attention to detail and process improvement mindset • Ability to develop and manage project plans, milestones, resources, and deliverables • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate recommendations to leadership • Experience working in cross-functional team environments • Ability to analyze challenges, identify solutions, and execute against business objectives • Preferred GPA of 3.

0 or above • Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity while applying critical thinking to refine outputs, with a commitment to responsible data practices • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated content, synthesize insights, and apply them to real world scenarios, demonstrating strong judgment and curiosity.
