Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for an FPGA Engineering Intern to join the Multi Product Power & Digital Team within the Electrical Engineering organization. Electrical Engineering drives business success by providing a variety of critical engineering tasks across Raytheon product lines and functions. What You Will Do: Develop FPGA designs for all major vendors and device families including: Xilinx (AMD), Altera (Intel), and Microchip Implement designs using VHDL for the following applications: gigabit serial interfaces, Radio Frequency (RF) interfaces, DSP algorithms, control logic, data links, and/or embedded processing. Work with circuit card designers and systems engineers to develop requirements, collaboratively model algorithms, partition and perform code development, simulation, and implementation Verify designs against requirements using both directed test and constrained random test methodologies Provide design support from requirements definition through integration and test, including design documentation and configuration management Qualifications You Must Have: Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session Experience with VHDL or Verilog programming Experience with FPGAs, microprocessors, or other programmable logic devices Qualifications We Prefer: Experience with Xilinx (AMD), Altera (Intel), or Microchip FPGAs Experience with Xilinx (AMD), Altera (Intel), or Microchip design tools and development environments Hands on experience with integration and test of digital systems, including the use of test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.) Please upload a copy of your most recent transcripts with your resume including your projected graduation date when applying to this requisition. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
