- Knowledge of creating manufacturing drawings
- Experience with Rapid Prototyping
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detailed oriented
Nice to have
- Mechanical aptitude and hands on mechanical experience (working on cars, fixing bicycles or FIRST robotics a plus)
- Experience with data acquisition and data presentation (python or LabView experience a plus)
- Knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics (CFD experience a plus)

DEKA Research and Development, housed in Manchester, NH, has an exciting opportunity for an Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to work in a dynamic Research and Development environment. In this role you will work alongside a group of passionate engineers to create innovative solutions that truly make a difference.
DEKA offers Co-Ops for full time students* (must be at least 18 years of age). This position is for a 6+ month rotation for the Spring semester starting in January and ending in June/ July 2027.
How you will make an impact as a Mechanical Engineer Co-Op:
- Work with a mechanical group designing and testing medical products
- Designing test fixtures
- Creating and executing test procedures and generating write-ups to summarize test method and results
- CAD work including solid modeling and drawings
- Support the mechanical group and accomplish tasks with minimal direction

- Must be currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program at the undergraduate junior/senior or graduate level.
