What you'll do

  • Interns will work alongside operational leaders, business teams, and technology partners to explore and support AI-related initiatives across key Health Plan Operations functions, including Appeals, Member Service, Enrollment & Billing, Provider Operations, Claims, and Benefits Administration.
  • Through hands-on project work, research, process analysis, and operational support, interns will contribute to initiatives focused on identifying opportunities for AI enablement, optimizing business processes, improving service delivery, and enhancing operational performance.
  • Communicate effectively while interacting directly with colleagues, clientele, and/or other internal or external constituencies in the planning of assignments and the resolution of day-to-day operational problems.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise and ability.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

The Summer 2027 Artificial Intelligence (Operations) Undergraduate Internship provides an exciting opportunity for students to gain practical, hands-on experience supporting the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across Health Plan Operations (HPO). This internship is designed to develop the next generation of diverse business professionals by providing exposure to how AI-driven solutions can enhance operational efficiency, improve customer experiences, and support strategic decision-making throughout the organization.
