About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Write news stories, briefs, and updates in Hindi or English, depending on the desk, covering national affairs, politics, entertainment, technology, sports, and lifestyle
2. Track breaking news from agency feeds, official sources, and social media, and turn it into quick, accurate copy
3. Rewrite and adapt news content for the Newsd.in website with a clear, engaging style
4. Write SEO-friendly headlines, meta descriptions, and tags to improve reach on Google Search and Google News
5. Upload and format articles on WordPress, including selecting suitable images and adding internal links
6. Fact-check information and proofread copy for grammar, accuracy, and house style
7. Create short write-ups and captions for Newsd.in's social media handles
8. Translate news content between Hindi and English when required

• can start the part time job/internship between 4th Oct'26 and 12th Nov'26
• are available for duration of 6 months
• have relevant skills and interests

Stipend

INR₹ 3,000 - 5,000 /month

Other requirements

• 1. Excellent written command of Hindi (Devanagari typing) or English; bilingual candidates are preferred
• 2. Strong interest in current affairs and the habit of following the news daily
• 3. Ability to write quickly and work to tight deadlines, including on fast-moving stories
• 4. Students or graduates in journalism, mass communication, English, or Hindi are preferred, but anyone with good writing skills can apply
• 5. Available for a full-time internship for 6 months and can start immediately
