Community & Events Coordinator - Internship

We're building something at Joon. And we're looking for one person who wants to build it with us. Not a traditional cafe manager. Not an events person.

Not someone who just posts on Instagram. We're looking for a Community & Events Coordinator Intern. Someone who genuinely enjoys people. Someone who can walk into a room, notice who's sitting alone, start a conversation, remember their name, and somehow turn strangers into a community.

Joon is a specialty coffee cafe in Kokapet, Hyderabad, with a pickleball court right next to it. Of course, we'll obsess over the coffee. And the food.

And the space. But what we really want to build is a place with a pulse. A place where founders meet. Where ideas happen over coffee. Where you can work for a few hours, play pickleball, meet someone interesting, join a small gathering, or simply sit around with good people.

Some mornings might be founder coffees. Some evenings might be pickleball. Some nights might be a small dinner, a conversation, music, or something we haven't even thought of yet.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Make Joon a place people talk about by creating memorable moments, experiences, and reasons for people to keep coming back.

2. Develop and execute new experiences, including coffee mornings, late-night ideas, pickleball formats, dinners, pop-ups, and other new concepts. 3. Build relationships with founders, creators, artists, athletes, builders, thinkers, and other interesting people.

4. Connect the right people and turn random encounters into meaningful relationships and opportunities. 5. Turn ideas into action quickly by developing concepts and finding ways to execute them effectively.

6. Help build Joon beyond the cafe by contributing to the concept store, collaborations, community projects, and future initiatives. 7. Create the Joon internet by capturing and sharing the people, stories, energy, and unexpected moments that make Joon worth following.

8. Continuously experiment with new ideas, learn quickly, discontinue what does not work, and build further on what does. 9. Drive the energy behind the place by staying aware of what is happening, who is coming, what is missing, and what could make each day better.

10. Work directly with the founder to turn conversations into ideas, ideas into experiments, and experiments into tangible outcomes. There is no fixed playbook.

We don't want to simply follow what's already been done. We want to build, experiment, take risks, and create something great with the community, not just for the community.

You'll work directly with the founder. 2. You'll have the freedom to experiment. 3. You'll help decide what Joon feels like at 9 AM, 4 PM, and 10 PM. But more importantly, if you're the right person, you'll be part of something much bigger than a cafe.
