About Company: Kulta Kult, a fashion accessories brand rooted in the belief that fashion is more than what we wear; it is a way of expressing who we are, how we see ourselves, and how we choose to show up in the world.
The politics of Kulta Kult begin with its name. In parts of India, kulta is used as a derogatory slur to police women who step outside prescribed norms of sexuality and self-expression.
By reclaiming the word, Kulta Kult challenges the idea that women's choices, bodies, and expressions must be justified or approved by others. Fashion is one of the most visible and immediate ways women can claim authorship over their own bodies and Kulta Kult wants to be a tool that offers women a way into this conversation in whatever small or big way they can access or afford.
