Thrill Tourism is looking for a Male Video Anchor/Journalism Intern who is confident in front of the camera and interested in travel, tourism, local stories, and digital journalism.
Female Video Anchor does not apply. The ideal candidate should have an educational background in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Video Anchoring, or a related field.
You will be involved in creating on-location video content covering Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, tourism businesses, local people, destinations, events, homestays, caf s, restaurants, activities, and interesting local stories.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: A. Video Anchoring & On-Camera Presentation 1. Present and speak confidently in front of the camera.
2. Record pieces-to-camera (PTCs), interviews, short reports, and travel stories. 3. Communicate information clearly and naturally for digital audiences.
B. Video Shooting 1. Shoot clean, well-framed videos and interviews at different locations. 2. Use a mobile phone, DSLR/mirrorless camera, and basic microphone equipment.
3. Capture suitable footage for social media and digital platforms. C. Story Research 1. Research trending topics, current events, tourism-related developments, and hyper-local stories.
2. Identify interesting people, businesses, destinations, and experiences that can become video stories. 3. Suggest fresh content ideas for Thrill Tourism.
D. Scripting & Journalism 1. Write basic news scripts and travel-story scripts. 2. Prepare PTCs and interview questions. 3. Research facts before presenting a story.
4. Develop simple, engaging story formats suitable for digital video. E. Interviews 1. Conduct interviews with tourism business owners, travellers, residents, guides, and other relevant people.
2. Prepare questions before interviews. 3. Maintain professional communication while recording. F. Field Reporting 1. Travel to different locations around Shimla and other parts of Himachal Pradesh for content production.
2. Cover local tourism, businesses, events, destinations, and community stories. 3. Be comfortable working outdoors and visiting different locations. G.
Team Collaboration 1. Work closely with the video editing and content team. 2. Ensure recorded footage, audio, interviews, and PTCs are suitable for editing.
3. Participate in planning content before and after shoots. You do not need to be an experienced professional journalist. We are open to students, fresh graduates, and candidates who have done practical journalism, anchoring, reporting, YouTube, college media, or other self-created video projects.

• 6. Basic knowledge of mobile/DSLR video shooting is preferred. • 7. Basic knowledge of video editing is an advantage but not mandatory. • 8. Candidates should be willing to travel locally for shoots.
