Medical Coding Intern

About the internship

Arzon Global is looking for motivated and detail-oriented medical coding freshers to join our healthcare operations team. The selected candidates will receive practical exposure to medical coding, healthcare documentation, and clinical terminology.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Review medical records and healthcare documentation for coding purposes.
2. Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and other applicable medical codes based on documentation.
3. Understand and interpret diagnoses, procedures, treatments, and medical terminology.
4. Verify the accuracy and completeness of patient information and clinical documentation.
5. Identify relevant diagnoses and procedures from medical records.
6. Follow established medical coding guidelines, standards, and company procedures.
7. Maintain accuracy and consistency while coding medical records.
8. Identify missing, unclear, or inconsistent documentation and escalate when required.
9. Maintain coding-related records, trackers, and reports.
10. Meet assigned productivity and quality targets.
11. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and healthcare information.
12. Participate in training, assessments, and quality review sessions.
13. Perform other medical coding and healthcare documentation activities as assigned.

Stipend

INR₹ 8,000 - 17,000 /month

Other requirements

• 1. B.Pharm/M.Pharm/Pharm.D/B.Sc/M.Sc/life sciences/allied healthcare graduates can apply.
• 2. Freshers and recent graduates are eligible.
• 3. Basic understanding of medical terminology and human anatomy is preferred.
• 4. Good English communication and comprehension skills.
• 5. Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• 6. Basic computer knowledge and ability to work with MS Office/Google Workspace.
• 7. Willingness to learn medical coding and healthcare documentation.
• 8. Candidates should be comfortable working in a work-from-home environment.

Stipend structure

Fixed pay: ₹ 7,000 - 12,000 /month

Incentive pay: ₹ 1,000 - 5,000 /month
