Interior Design Site Supervisor Internship

Sorano is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Site Supervisor Intern to support the daily pre-opening activities of its upcoming restaurant and bar in Mumbai.

The candidate will assist in monitoring on-site civil, interior, and finishing work, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and ensuring work progresses as per approved drawings and project timelines.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Monitor daily on-site civil, interior, and finishing work. 2. Coordinate with contractors, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, HVAC, fire safety, and other site vendors.

3. Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, layouts, and technical plans. 4. Use AutoCAD to review drawings, take measurements, and assist with basic drawing revisions.

5. Track daily work progress against the project schedule and report delays or issues. 6. Verify site measurements and check execution against approved drawings.

7. Maintain daily site progress reports, photographs, work updates, and pending task lists. 8. Follow up on materials, deliveries, labour deployment, and contractor requirements.

9. Identify execution issues, drawing discrepancies, and site coordination conflicts, escalating them to the project manager. 10. Assist with snagging, rectification, finishing inspections, and final handover before opening.

11. Ensure the site remains organised and that applicable safety practices are followed. Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. • II. knowledge of AutoCAD is essential. • III. Basic understanding of civil work, interior fit-outs, measurements, and construction drawings.

• IV. Good coordination, communication, documentation, and follow-up skills. • V. Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting. • VII.Willingness to work on-site full-time and coordinate with multiple contractors.

• VIII.Prior internship or site experience is an advantage; freshers with strong technical skills may apply. • Ideal Candidate • A hands-on, organised, and self-driven individual who is comfortable working at a live construction site, following up with contractors, identifying execution gaps, and ensuring daily tasks are completed on time.

• Important: This is a site-based role, not a desk job. The candidate must be comfortable with regular site visits, daily progress tracking, and working in a fast-paced restaurant pre-opening environment.
