About the internship

We are looking for an energetic, creative, and outgoing Marketing & Community Growth Intern who is interested in gaining hands-on experience in marketing, content promotion, community engagement, and brand building.

The intern will work on the marketing and growth of OGC Magazine, a community-focused publication featuring articles, ideas, achievements, interviews, events, and stories relevant to its readers.

This is not a desk-only or social-media-only internship. The selected intern will be expected to actively engage with the community and marketplace, meet people and businesses, introduce and promote the magazine, build relationships, and identify opportunities to increase its reach and visibility.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

  1. Develop and execute creative ideas to increase the visibility and readership of OGC Magazine.
  2. Conduct field marketing activities and actively promote the magazine to potential readers, residents, businesses, advertisers, sponsors, contributors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  3. Meet and communicate with potential advertisers and partners to explain the magazine's value proposition.
  4. Build relationships with local businesses, community members, organizations, and potential contributors.
  5. Identify and generate advertising, sponsorship, partnership, and promotional opportunities for the magazine.
  6. Promote each issue through social media, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, digital campaigns, events, and direct outreach.
  7. Convert magazine articles and stories into engaging social media posts, Reels, carousels, and other promotional content.
  8. Develop innovative marketing campaigns to increase readership and community participation.
  9. Encourage readers to provide feedback and contribute articles, ideas, photographs, achievements, and community stories.
  10. Track marketing activities, responses, engagement, leads, and campaign performance.
  11. Suggest new ideas to make OGC Magazine more visible, engaging, and commercially sustainable.
