Finance - Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Book supplier and customer invoices into the accounting system accurately and timely. 2. Match and clear payments against invoices; assist with payment processing support.

3. Perform bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations on a regular basis. 4. Assist in month end closing tasks: posting accruals, prepayments, and journal entries as instructed.

5. Prepare basic financial schedules and supporting workpapers for accountants. Compile routine reports (e.g., AP/AR aging, cash position, expense summaries).

6. Perform variance analysis comparing actuals to budgets/forecasts and prepare explanatory notes. 7. Support invoice approval workflows and documentation filing (physical & electronic).

8. Help maintain orderly accounting records and assist with document retrieval for audits. 9. Respond to basic queries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders under supervision.

10. Identify and escalate discrepancies, anomalies, or process inefficiencies to supervisor.
