Business Development Internship (Loans & Financial Services)

About the internship

We are looking for a sales professional who can generate loan enquiries, build referral relationships, and convert qualified enquiries into disbursed loan cases.

You will work directly with the founders to grow our loan business, helping customers with personal loans, business loans, home loans, and loans against property. The role includes customer acquisition, document coordination, and consistent follow-up with our lending partners.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Generate loan leads through direct outreach, cold calling, local networking, and referrals.
2. Build active referral relationships with accountants, property brokers, business owners, and channel partners.
3. Understand customers' funding needs and conduct initial eligibility checks against lending-partner criteria.
4. Explain loan options, indicative terms, charges, and documentation requirements accurately.
5. Convert qualified enquiries into complete loan applications.
6. Collect and coordinate KYC, income, banking, business, and property documents as applicable.
7. Coordinate with banks, NBFCs, and DSA partners to address queries and move applications forward.
8. Track each case through application, sanction, and disbursal, keeping customers informed.
9. Maintain accurate CRM records and share regular pipeline and disbursal updates.

Stipend

INR₹ 5,000 - 15,000 /month

Other requirements

• 1. Candidates with prior experience in loan sales, banking, NBFCs, or DSA businesses.
• 2. A proven track record of independently sourcing and converting loan cases.
• 3. Strong networking, communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
• 4. Working knowledge of loan eligibility and documentation requirements.
• 5. Ability to build referral channels and manage multiple applications.
• 6. Comfortable with customer meetings and local travel.
• 7. An existing borrower or referral network is an advantage.
