Operations Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: - Work closely with the team to understand and help manage the day-to-day operations of a 500+ animal sanctuary, including animal care systems, people, resources and operational processes.

- Identify opportunities to make the sanctuary more efficient, sustainable and financially resilient, and take ownership of selected projects from research and planning through implementation.

- Explore and develop rural sustainability ventures using resources generated at the sanctuary, including opportunities around gobar, organic manure, biofertilizers, compost, biogas and other circular-economy initiatives.

- Research and develop projects in collaboration with government departments, NGOs, CSR organisations, universities and other institutions. - Conduct market research, speak with potential customers and partners, evaluate business models and develop practical pilots for promising ideas.

- Build systems, partnerships and processes that can potentially be replicated across other gaushalas and animal sanctuaries. - Take initiative, solve problems on the ground and contribute to the overall development of the sanctuary rather than working within a narrowly defined internship role.
