AI/ML Engineer Trainee Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: A. AI testing & evaluation: 1. Test AI-generated outputs against expected results and source data.

2. Compare model responses with source information and expected data schemas. 3. Identify and document AI failures, hallucinations, missing information, and low-confidence outputs.

4. Support regression testing when AI prompts, models, or workflows are updated. 5. Maintain clear records of test results and evaluation findings. 6.

Assist senior engineers in identifying patterns and recurring AI performance issues. B. Data preparation & annotation: 1. Prepare sample datasets for AI and model evaluation.

2. Label and organize information from documents, forms, screenshots, images, and structured data. 3. Maintain clean and organized test files. 4. Create expected-output examples for testing and validation.

5. Assist in developing and maintaining gold-standard datasets used to measure AI accuracy. 6. Perform basic data quality checks before datasets are used for evaluation.

C. Engineering support: 1. Write basic Python scripts for data cleaning, transformation, and JSON validation. 2. Perform API testing using tools such as Swagger, Postman, or similar platforms.

3. Assist with testing AI APIs and backend services. 4. Document experiments, test procedures, results, and observations. 5. Support senior engineers in troubleshooting and resolving basic technical issues.

6. Follow established coding, testing, documentation, and development practices. D. AI safety, guardrails & responsible AI: 1. Never copy sensitive or confidential information into public AI tools or personal accounts.

2. Validate AI outputs against source data and expected results. 3. Identify and report hallucinations, unsafe outputs, missing fields, and inconsistent responses.

4. Follow established tenant and data-separation requirements during testing. 5. Use only approved datasets, tools, and testing environments. 6. Maintain appropriate test evidence for AI behavior and regression testing.

7. Protect sensitive information and follow established data-privacy procedures. 8. Immediately escalate privacy, security, or significant quality concerns to senior engineers or designated team members.

9. Follow responsible AI practices and established quality-control procedures. A bachelor's degree or currently completing a degree in computer science, information technology, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, software engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• 2. 0–1 year of experience, including internships, academic projects, or relevant hands-on experience. • 3. Strong foundation in Python programming. • 4.

Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts. • 5. Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills. • 6. Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• 7. High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. • 8. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while seeking guidance when necessary.
