Clinical Psychologist Internship

We are looking for a compassionate and responsible clinical psychology intern to support emotional well-being initiatives for cancer patients and their caregivers.

This is a meaningful opportunity to gain real-world exposure in psycho-oncology, patient interaction, rapport building, empathetic communication, and caregiver support while working with individuals navigating challenging healthcare experiences.

Through supervised learning and practical exposure, interns will develop important clinical skills beyond academics, including patient communication, documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and understanding emotional concerns in cancer care.

Selected interns' day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Conduct initial interactions with cancer patients and caregivers to understand their emotional, psychological, and support-related needs through supportive communication.

2. Assist in basic psychological screening and distress identification under supervision to understand concerns such as anxiety, grief, emotional distress, and coping difficulties.

3. Support patients and families through regular follow-ups, empathetic conversations, and basic coping strategies. 4. Maintain ethical and organized progress notes while ensuring confidentiality of all patient interactions.

5. Create meaningful mental health resources, articles, and awareness content related to psycho-oncology. 6. Participate in case discussions, supervision meetings, and collaborate with team members to strengthen patient support practices.

Educational background or ongoing training in psychology, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or related fields. • 2. Interest in psycho-oncology, healthcare, patient care, or mental health support.

• 3. Basic understanding of psychological concerns and mental health concepts. • 4. Strong communication skills with an interest in building supportive patient relationships.

• 5. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly. • 6. Willingness to learn through supervision, feedback, and practical exposure.

• 7. Ability to maintain organized notes and documentation. • 8. Adaptability to changing patient needs and workload requirements. • 9. Fluency in English and Hindi is preferred.

• 10. Prior experience in clinical settings, hospitals, counseling, or mental health initiatives is preferred but not mandatory. • 11. Comfortable working with cancer patients and caregivers and handling sensitive conversations responsibly.
