Sports Partnerships Marketing Intern

Our Journey The ShopBack Group is Asia-Pacific's leading shopping and rewards platform, trusted by over 20 million active members across 13 markets, including Germany and the United States. Driven by the vision to make every day more rewarding, ShopBack saves members money and time with more ways to earn and more to do with what they earn, and empowers merchants and brand partners to effectively engage its members. Founded in Singapore in 2014, ShopBack now powers over US$5.5 billion in annual sales and half a million transactions a day for more than 20,000 online and in-store partners. Run a real college sports partnership, not just watch one! ShopBack is a partner of Texas Longhorns athletics, and we are looking for someone on the ground in Austin to bring it to life. That covers athlete NIL campaigns, game-day and on-campus activations, and the digital content that ties it all together. You’ll work directly with our US General Manager, own the day-to-day execution, and see your work show up in real results. Role Details • Location: Austin, Texas, including attendance at game-day and on-campus events • Arrangement: Full-time or part-time. Part-time candidates are expected to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week. • Paid internship

Your Adventure Ahead • Own the Longhorns partnership day to day: keep creative, NIL athlete content, and communication plans on schedule from brief to launch. • Run activations: coordinate logistics for in-stadium and on-campus moments, such as sweepstakes, tabling, and promotions. • Work with NIL athletes and creators: manage timelines, deliverables, and approvals. • Track what’s working: monitor landing-page traffic and conversions from the partnership, and suggest improvements. • Keep things moving: maintain the open-items tracker and flag blockers to the GM early. • Pitch in on wider US marketing: social and newsletter content, market research, performance reporting, and decks for the GM.

Essentials to Succeed • Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Business, Sport Management, or a related field. • Strong organization skills. You can juggle creative, people, and logistics without dropping threads. • Clear writing and confidence speaking up. You’re comfortable owning a workstream without step-by-step direction. • You already use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to work faster or smarter, and you can tell us about one example. Bonus points • You follow college sports, NIL, or creator marketing closely. • Experience with Canva, HubSpot, Mailchimp, or similar tools. • Previous event, campus org, or social media experience.

What You’ll Gain • End-to-end ownership of a live, high-profile university partnership from execution through results. • Hands-on experience working directly with leadership across creative, growth, and partnerships. • Exposure to NIL, creator programs, and digital conversion in a fast-growing company. • Mentorship and training from experienced professionals.

ShopBacker Traits • Agency - We take ownership and act, rather than waiting for permission. When something's blocking progress, we find a way through it and follow through until it's done. • Judgement - We aim for high-impact decisions, not just easy wins, and we put the bigger picture ahead of individual interests. That means moving quickly and confidently, while staying thoughtful about when a call really matters. • Learning Velocity - We pick up new skills fast and let go of old habits just as quickly when something better comes along. We benchmark ourselves against the best and keep raising our own bar. • Tenacity - We stay in it when things get hard, keeping a level head under pressure. We debate openly before deciding, then commit fully — and support each other along the way. What's in it for ShopBackers • Career growth opportunities to take on greater challenges that help you realise your ambitions. • Be part of a winning team on a journey to global scale. • Competitive compensation based on performance. • Candid, open, and collaborative culture where feedback is valued.
