Role overview
What you'll own
- include maintaining project documentation, updating project management software systems, and ensuring that project deliverables are properly organized and accessible to team members.
- The intern will participate in project meetings, take detailed notes, and help distribute action items and follow-up communications to relevant stakeholders across the Navy and Leidos teams.
- Data Analysis and Reporting - The position involves collecting and analyzing project data to support decision-making processes for SMIT program improvements.
- The intern will create status reports, update project dashboards, and assist in preparing presentations for stakeholder meetings.
Requirements and eligibility
- Currently enrolled in a degree program as a Business Administration, Information Technology, or Computer Information Systems (or similar) major.
- Students should be sophomore year or higher with demonstrated academic performance and commitment for their studies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required with a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Preferred, not required
- Basic familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Power BI, Power App, JIRA, or similar platforms is preferred but not required.
- Prior internship experience, part-time work, or volunteer experience that demonstrates responsibility, reliability, and professional work habits.
- Experience in customer service, team leadership, or project-related activities is valued.
