V2X has AI Engineering Intern opportunities for current college students pursuing STEM degrees focusing on artificial intelligence, machine learning, or software development in Indianapolis, IN.

As an AI Engineering Intern, you will work within a team of talented and experienced engineers and gain hands‑on exposure to AI Engineering by performing core activities related to designing, developing, training, and testing AI and ML models.

Many assignments will involve integrating AI capabilities into software systems and working with target hardware in a lab environment. The AI intern will apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to help solve customer needs by delivering customized AI-enabled engineering services and products for unique customer missions.

• Learn commonly used AI and software engineering tools and best practices (e.g., Git, ADO, Python libraries, ML frameworks, VSCode). • Provide basic support for AI and software development across various software environments and target hardware (e.

g., Linux, Android, Windows). • Expand your AI/ML knowledge, including model development, data preparation, and evaluation techniques. • Participate as a member of a multi‑disciplinary engineering team.

• Contribute to project/program milestones under general guidance from supervisors, team leads, and mentors. • Learn and follow established AI and Software Engineering processes and procedures.

Qualifications Required Skills: • Positive attitude and proven leadership skills • Customer focus and ability to collaborate • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Coursework in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, or related fields • Basic coding skills in one or more of the following: Python, Java, C/C++, Bash, etc.

Desired Skills: • Knowledge of MS Office or other presentation tools • Previous engineering or AI/ML project experience or internships • Ability to work effectively in a team environment • A cumulative GPA of 3.

S. citizens per federal contract requirements is required. • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
