As a Product Management Intern supporting the Trading Services team, you will contribute to the future of the thinkorswim platform across desktop, web, and mobile experiences used by active traders and investors.
In this role, you will partner with product managers, engineers, designers, analysts, and business stakeholders to help identify client needs, evaluate product performance, and support the delivery of innovative solutions that create meaningful impact for clients.
You will gain exposure to product strategy, roadmap development, feature prioritization, and Agile software delivery while helping translate business opportunities into actionable product requirements.
Working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, you will assist with market and competitive research, analyze client feedback and platform usage trends, support backlog management and sprint planning activities, and help develop dashboards and insights that guide product decisions.
Through hands-on experience and mentorship, you will strengthen your ability to evaluate complex problems, influence product outcomes, and contribute to technology solutions that support Schwab’s commitment to innovation, client focus, and continuous improvement.
What you have Required Qualifications • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Able to attend the internship program dates June 7, 2027-August 6, 2027 onsite in Austin, TX without missing any of the days.• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze information, identify patterns, and apply critical thinking to solve complex business or product-related challenges.• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly synthesize information and present recommendations to diverse audiences.
• Ability to build effective partnerships and collaborate across cross-functional teams while contributing in a dynamic environment.• Demonstrated interest in product management, financial technology, investing, brokerage services, trading platforms, or digital client experiences.
• Ability to gather information, evaluate feedback, and translate findings into practical recommendations that support business outcomes. Preferred Qualifications • Understanding of software development lifecycles and modern web or mobile application environments.
• Familiarity with APIs, product analytics, user experience concepts, or Agile product development practices.• Experience conducting research, analyzing data, and developing insights that support decision-making.
• Interest in active trader workflows, market structure, charting technologies, options analytics, or digital investing experiences.• Highly interested in joining Schwab in a full-time role with this team as a thinkorswim Product Manager upon graduation in 2028.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts, tools, and technologies quickly while applying them to meaningful business challenges.
