AI, Data & Innovation Intern

Position/Title: 2027 Summer Intern – AI, Data & Innovation Pretium Pretium is a specialized investment firm focused on U.S. residential real estate, residential credit, and corporate credit.

Position We are seeking a 2027 Summer Intern to join the AI, Data & Innovation team in our New York office. This position will be part of Pretium’s Summer Internship Program.

Our program includes formal PowerPoint, Excel, and AI training as well as other learning programs, and the internship will provide a unique experience and invaluable look into a rapidly growing asset manager, working with industry leaders on meaningful projects.

Interns will have the opportunity to make significant professional contributions while developing expertise in a dynamic team environment. Key Responsibilities • Contribute to meaning engineering work and AI capabilities used across Pretium and its operating companies, with AI coding tools treated as a native part of development • Assist with data validation and QA across features both in production and in development • Support front-end and back-end development pipelines alongside Pretium’s Forward Deployed Engineering team • Develop custom tools for the AI & Innovation team within their proprietary platform such as user activity intelligence, event tracking, and create user-based recommendations for further development • Build new features as well as productionize existing ones based on user requests and bug reports • Generate materials and communicate development work to both internal and external stakeholders, includes weekly priorities updates and Investor Relations communications Requirements • Candidate must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program (rising Senior - Class of 2028) • GPA 3.

4 or above required • Majoring in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Math & Statistics or a related field preferred • Comfortable working with modern AI coding tools and familiarity with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenRouter, ClickHouse, or similar platforms is a plus • Highly proactive with a strong work ethic and ability to work both independently as well as part of a highly collaborative team • Effective communicator, written and verbal, and comfortable explaining technical work to non-technical stakeholders • Genuine interest in data, technology, and collaboration with broader teams • Strong desire to learn What We Offer This position offers the opportunity to join a collegial, entrepreneurial firm committed to the personal and professional growth of its team members and to maintaining a positive, encouraging work environment where people enjoy working together.

Compensation for this role for a candidate in New York City is expected to be paid at an hourly rate of $48.00.
