AI Implementation Intern

About MakiPeople

Maki builds AI agents that help large companies hire faster and better, from screening to assessment to candidate engagement. Global enterprises use Maki to run hiring at scale, giving recruiters time back and candidates a smoother experience. With offices in Paris and London, we are now accelerating in New York. As an intern on our Implementation team, you will work on live customer rollouts and see how AI is deployed inside large organizations. You will get real responsibility and close mentorship from day one.

About the Implementation team You will be joining our Implementation team and will be working with our UE-based team, collaborating across EMEA and Asia, and alongside both our Implementation Managers (IMs) and our Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs). You will also have the chance to collaborate with everyone at Maki. Most of the Implementation team’s efforts are currently focused on onboarding our (many) new clients, making sure they can use Maki to its fullest potential and that the impact we promise is delivered. Because we support large Enterprise companies, this is large-scale project management and change management, built hand-in-hand with our clients.

About your mission As an Implementation Intern, you will support our Implementation Managers and Forward Deployed Engineers with a variety of operational tasks while actively contributing to live client projects. Your role is multi-faceted and cuts across several parts of the customer journey, with a strong focus on configuration, testing and cross-team collaboration. The internship is full time and runs from January 2027 through July 2027.

Your key responsibilities:

- Support client implementation: Help define candidate journeys, monitor impact, and ensure smooth onboarding.

- AI agent configuration: Configure Maki’s AI agents to match each client’s needs and hiring processes.

- AI agent testing: Run structured testing loops on the agents, analyze results, and iterate with the IMs and FDEs until the agents perform as intended.

- Cross-team collaboration: Work with internal teams at Maki, including Science, Tech, Ops and Customer Success Managers, to align configuration with client needs.

- Process optimization: Design and refine key processes to monitor implementations efficiently using ClickUp (our Implementation and Success internal tool).

- Contribute to strategic projects: Work on initiatives that support large-scale projects and change management for our enterprise clients.

What we’re looking for

- Sharp attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills: You spot what others miss and enjoy getting to the root of an issue.

- Excellent English, spoken and written: You communicate clearly and concisely and can adapt to colleagues or clients.

- Startup energy: You thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities move quickly.

- Ownership and an extra-mile mindset: You take responsibility for outcomes and go beyond what is asked.

- Analytical thinking: You can spot patterns in test results, summarize them, and recommend clear next steps.

- Strong project organization: You keep multiple workstreams moving with clear trackers and timely follow-ups.

- Must have an internship agreement (convention de stage) with a French university

Bonus points if you have

- Languages: You speak more than one language. Maki works with global clients, so this is always a plus.

- Tools we use every day: You have used ClickUp, Lovable, Claude, Cursor or Linear, or you pick up new tools quickly.

- A technical streak: You have some coding experience, or you have built something with AI tools, even if it was just for fun.
