  • We prioritise your professional growth with ongoing development opportunities throughout the programme.
  • Your role will be varied, developing your skills in all elements of supplier management, negotiation and contract management all whilst working with a diverse range of stakeholders from across the business, as well as Airbus suppliers.
  • Your work-based projects will underpin your learning and ensure you develop yourself through practical application of university study.

Kickstart your career with an Airbus apprenticeship! Airbus UK design, manufacture and manage the supply chain for Wings, Landing Gear and Fuel Systems on all Airbus Commercial Aircraft. Wing manufacture is performed at the world class Broughton Production facility whilst design and supply chain management is based in Filton, Bristol.

Components and parts are delivered from a global supply chain managed from the UK for onward delivery to Final Assembly Lines located in France, Germany, USA, Canada and China. Around 80% of Airbus’ activity is sourced. Working with more than 12,000 suppliers worldwide that provide products and services for flying and non-flying parts, joining the Supply Chain team will put you at the heart of Airbus where you will operate in a truly international environment. To manage all of this the Airbus Supply Chain function is diverse in its activities and the apprenticeship programme provides you the opportunity to experience different roles across the business.

You will receive second to none training to gain the skills and experience needed for immediate impact. You will also be supported by dedicated placement managers and an apprentice ‘buddy’ to help you along your development journey.

What you will be doing

In addition to your work placements and studies, there are opportunities to join a wide variety of employee networks including a dedicated Early Careers network, Generation Airbus, Pride@Airbus, Balance for Business, Breathe and embRACE to help you develop both your professional and personal skills along the way. You will also be supported by like minded apprentices, other Early Careers and members of senior management.

Requirements

In order to be eligible for this apprenticeship opportunity, you must have a minimum of:

  • 3 A Levels – a minimum of two Bs and one C, or equivalent subject to validation;

And

  • Minimum GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Mathematics and English Language .

*A-levels in Business, Economics or Maths would be an advantage but not essential.

GRADES: If you are on predicted grades, your offer will be conditional to achieving the position’s requirements before the apprenticeship start date.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.

LEVY FUNDING: Successful candidates must be eligible for the levy funding.
