Job description

Baker Tilly is currently seeking Compliance Advisory Interns for 2027.

Our interns gain knowledge of the firm's Assurance, Tax and Advisory practices through working with multiple clients across a variety of industries.

The Public Sector Compliance Advisory practice helps public sector organizations navigate complex compliance requirements, manage risk, strengthen internal controls, and improve how they operate. Our team works with clients across the United States on a variety of engagements, including internal control assessments, grant compliance and monitoring, policy and procedure development, process improvement, and other advisory and consulting projects. We work collaboratively with our clients to understand their challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop practical solutions that strengthen controls, enhance compliance, mitigate risk, and improve processes.

As part of our highly collaborative team, Compliance Advisory Interns gain exposure to meaningful client work while contributing to high-quality, actionable deliverables that create value for our clients.

Education

· Currently enrolled or pursuing a bachelor's degree program in Accounting or another related business discipline from an accredited institution.

Experience

No prior professional experience is required. Previous internship, academic, leadership, volunteer, customer service, or other relevant experience and demonstrated interest in accounting, or professional services are preferred.

Certifications / Licensure

· Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

Knowledge & Technical Skills

· Coursework in accounting and technology-related fields highly desirable

· Ability to conduct basic research, analyze information, and document findings clearly and accurately.

· Openness to learning emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, responsibly to support learning, efficiency, and problem solving.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
