About the role This posting represents multiple internship opportunities within our Actuarial teams, including Property & Casualty Actuarial, Life & Health Actuarial, and Data Scientist roles.
Candidates will be considered for the internship track that best aligns with their skills, interests, experience, and business needs. Our hiring teams will review applications and determine the most appropriate fit among the available opportunities.
This internship will be located in Bloomington, IL. P/C and L/H Actuary Responsibilities: - Assist in gathering data, manipulating data, performing calculations, and producing reports - Learn basic product designs and features in order to value liabilities and project future cash flows - Learn actuarial techniques in pricing, modeling, and reserving - Work on projects related to rate-making, profitability analysis, projections, reserving, administration, competitive position, etc.
- Develop and utilize knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and computer programming - Create tools and reports for the purpose of validation, tracking, auditing, competitive analysis, etc.
- Develop working knowledge of actuarial software and reporting functionality Actuary Data Scientist Responsibilities: - Work with complex data to clean, organize, and transform information into meaningful datasets for analysis.
- Contribute to the creation and enhancement of predictive models that support strategic business initiatives. - Present data-driven insights and recommendations in a way that helps stakeholders understand trends, opportunities, and potential outcomes.

Do you have what we're looking for? • Pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field. • Must be able to work full-time hours from late May to early August 2027.
The internship may be extended part-time into the fall semester, depending on the availability of the student, the needs of the company, and strong work performance.
• Graduation date of August 2027 or beyond. • 1+ actuarial exam completed (applicable for P/C and L/H Actuary roles). • Demonstrate ability to solve basic to intermediate pricing/actuarial problems.
• Computer skills including Intermediate/Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite and basic/intermediate programming skills. • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
