Our Technical Advisory team provides independent building consultancy advice across a wide range of property sectors and project types. This placement offers an exciting opportunity for a third-year Building Surveying student to gain practical experience within a dynamic and growing team while working alongside experienced Chartered Building Surveyors on a variety of commercial property instructions.

Job Description The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Building Surveying student to join our Dublin Technical Advisory team for a five-month placement.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of surveying disciplines, including: • Technical Due Diligence (TDD) • Building Surveys • Dilapidations • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) • Reinstatement Cost Assessments (RCAs) • Defect Diagnosis • Contract Administration • Project Monitoring • General Building Consultancy Advice This role is designed to provide practical experience and professional development within a supportive environment, helping students bridge the gap between academic study and professional practice.

Key Responsibilities • Assist surveyors with technical property inspections. • Support the preparation of technical due diligence and building survey reports.

• Undertake property research and data collection. • Assist with planned preventative maintenance surveys and lifecycle assessments. • Support dilapidations assessments and schedule preparation.

• Review building documentation including drawings, leases, statutory certificates and maintenance records. • Assist with reinstatement cost assessments.

• Prepare site notes, photographs and survey records. • Help coordinate project information and client deliverables. • Attend client meetings and site visits where appropriate.

• Assist with monitoring project progress and maintaining project records. • Support general team administration and business development initiatives.

• Skills and Experience Essential • Currently studying for a degree in Building Surveying or a related property discipline. • Strong interest in commercial property and building consultancy.

• Good written and verbal communication skills. • Strong organisational and analytical skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Full clean driving licence or working towards obtaining one. • Familiarity with AutoCAD or other property software. What We Offer • Hands-on experience across a broad range of building surveying services.
