Job Title: Additive Manufacturing Intern Job Description: Job Title: Additive Manufacturing Intern Job Summary The intern will assist the R&D team in Additive Manufacturing projects relating to metal 3D printing, working prototype manufacturing, process optimization and material characterization for semiconductor applications.
Reports to: Lead Scientist (Additive Manufacturing) Key Responsibilities • Assist the scientists and engineers on lab set up activities, R&D and part printing works.
• Operate and maintain metal additive manufacturing machines, carry out preprocessing activities like powder preparation and loading, machine set-up.
• Perform powder and part characterization activities such as particle size analyzing, test coupon cut up, hot mounting and polishing works. • Carry out post-processing activities including inspection, depowdering, cleaning, and support structure removal.
• Coordinate with external vendors for secondary processes such as machining and polishing. • Support daily additive manufacturing operations and maintain proper documentation of activities.
• Learn and operate multiple equipment platforms while working in a dynamic R&D environment. Requisite Criteria & Skills • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Materials Science.
• Knowledge of CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent), additive manufacturing, or manufacturing processes is an advantage. • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and willing to work in a laboratory environment.
• Team player with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
