- You will be working with the “Discovery” team on a system that integrates with dozens of third party and open-source technology via plugins.
Requirements and eligibility
- Enrolled in an undergraduate Computer Science program
- Completed at least two years of course work in your current program
- Please indicate your last complete year of study and your GPA
- Works comfortably in two or more programming languages
Preferred, not required
- Previous work terms in Software Development or relevant projects
- Knowledge or interest in different frameworks: React, Vite, Open API, Angular, Spring Boot, etc.
- You have used tools to manage, build, and test code that you have written.

Join the Entrust Research and Development team in Ottawa. We are a Canadian center of excellence for computer security innovation. The R&D Internship Program brings undergraduate students together with industry professionals.
You will gain experience and develop skills through challenging work assignments that truly add value to the business. Please consider the following internship conditions: • Location : Role is hybrid based in Ottawa • Duration : 8 months starting on January 4, 2027 • Application deadline: Oct 30th 2026 Collaborate with a truly agile Scrum team of developers who use state-of-the-art tools, services and technologies.
Contribute to a CI/CD pipeline that delivers fully tested code to Kubernetes, AWS and other cloud environments. Implement new security features for use by consumers, retailers, banks, and national governments.
Learn to incorporate AI to accelerate your work in a secure software development lifecycle. • We offer flexibility • We offer a diverse work environment • Futureproof your career with a job in information security Position Overview: You will be working with the “Discovery” team on a system that integrates with dozens of third party and open-source technology via plugins.
We also write those plugins and support an SDK for partners to write their own plugins. You will be working with the latest technology, APIs, languages and frameworks.
How you will make an impact: • Design and develop new features in Go and other languages. • Build with tools like Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, GitHub Copilot, VS Code and many open-source tools • Collaborate with teams in sales, support, product development, and professional services • Write automation and deploy software to Docker containers, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud • Learn a secure software development lifecycle • Accelerate your work safely and reliably using state-of-the-art AI models, agents and tools.
Basic Qualifications: • Enrolled in an undergraduate Computer Science program • Completed at least two years of course work in your current program • Please indicate your last complete year of study and your GPA • Works comfortably in two or more programming languages • Good with details, time management, and planning.
• Proficient in verbal and written communication. • Able to locate in Ottawa and work a hybrid schedule (three days per week in the office) Preferred Qualifications: • Previous work terms in Software Development or relevant projects • Knowledge or interest in different frameworks: React, Vite, Open API, Angular, Spring Boot, etc.
• You have used tools to manage, build, and test code that you have written. • Experience developing software with AI assistance or implementing AI based solutions.

00 - $28.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, skills and experience.
