Job Description Summary We are looking to hire a long-term Mechanical Design Engineering intern for up to 11 months, with an initial 6-month period and an optional 5-month extension.

Job Description Site Overview: GE Aerospace has an advanced engineering center located in İstanbul, Kartal, complemented by cutting-edge laboratories in Kocaeli, Gebze.

Our offices in İstanbul and Ankara provide essential support to commercial and defense engines across the country. Our highly skilled engineers at the Türkiye Technology Center contribute to GE Aerospace’s engineering work on indigenous programs, new engine programs, software development, and additive manufacturing, supporting the country’s position as an advanced aerospace hub.

Role Overview: • Execution of design review cycles, hardware releases and test support for the technology demonstrator rigs, Ground Test and Flight Test Demo • Work closely with manufacturing teams to design parts, understand procurement schedule and help hardware owners track progress • Helping the team with documenting and reporting engineering work The ideal candidate is a 3rd or 4th-year undergraduate student in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

They are proficient in engineering tools like UG NX and ANSYS, have experience in design reviews, hardware releases, and test support, and demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Required Qualifications: • Being an undergraduate student in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, either studying 3rd or 4th year • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills • Demonstrated skill in utilizing multiple engineering tools, UG NX, ANSYS Preferred Qualifications: • Strong communication and documentation skills for reporting engineering work and collaborating across teams • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and practices, including safety and quality requirements • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and adapt to dynamic project needs At GE Aerospace, we have an unwavering commitment to the future of safer and more efficient flight and believe in our talented people to make it happen.
