  • As a Fielded Engine Performance intern, you will be supporting the development and sustaining a wide range of physics based computational models with customers across all GE Engine lines for fielded commercial engines.
  • You will be part of a group of engineers with a wide variety of technical expertise in modeling.
  • You will participate in technical presentations and reviews with global teams.
  • Data quality assessment and statistical analysis
  • Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy
  • Participate in root cause analysis on field events

  • In this position you will be required to analyze and interpret large data sets to provide recommendations and update models to other teams such as Prognostics and Health Management both on wing and on ground, Engine Control Systems, Engine Performance, Engineering Services and so on.
  • Students currently in an Engineering bachelor (Computer Sciences, Electronic, Mechanical, Aeronautical, Mechatronics or equivalent) with at least one year to graduate.
  • Knowledgeable in object-oriented programming or experience with C, C++, R, python, or similar computational languages
  • Experience with thermodynamics and fluid dynamics
  • Effective written and oral English communication skills
  • Availability of 40 hours per week; in-person work at GEIQ facilities.

  • Availability for a one-year project
  • Analytical approach for problem solving
  • Experience in data bases and queries in SQL
  • Leadership experience inside and/or outside the classroom. Extra initiatives/engagements in student organizations are a plus

  • Knowledgeable in object-oriented programming or experience with C, C++, R, python, or similar computational languages
