Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX. What You Will Do The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is currently looking for an intern to support the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) department.

The MDS department provides subject matter expertise for concept development, architectural design, requirements generation & flow-down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test and evaluation of world-class Missile Defense & Sensor Systems to be achieved through our people, processes, technology and performance.

This position is on site in Woburn, MA. You will be working as part of a team to define radar system requirements, design architectures and algorithms in support of those requirements and collaborate with software development teams to ensure effective implementation.

Some specific responsibilities include: • Analyzing radar system performance data with respect to requirements • Identifying performance deficiencies and proposing solutions • Defining and prototyping new algorithms to enhance system performance • Presenting plans, designs and system performance to peers, internal leadership and external customers • Providing subject matter expertise to agile software development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements Qualifications You Must Have • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.

• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session. • Experience working with Matlab, C/C++, Java or DOORS Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer • Strong analytic, technical and problem-solving skills • Experience with system level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture • Experience with radar system concepts; detection, discrimination, track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance • Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors and analysis tools in support of analyzing radar requirements and performance • Strong analytic, technical and problem-solving skills What We Offer • Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.

• Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

• This position requires ability to obtain a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply. RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
