As a Project Engineering Co-op at Collins Aerospace Supplier Designed Equipment (SDE) Engineering, you can expect to gain experience supporting a variety of sensors that include speed, vibration, temperature, and pressure on large commercial, military and business aviation engines programs.
This team focuses on leading engineering projects for electrical sensors on commercial and military jet engines. We are engaged at all levels with our internal and external customers during every stage of the aerospace product life cycle (proposal, development, entry into service, in-service support).

• Support project tasks of short to medium duration, while ensuring customer milestones are met within budget and schedule commitments • Host cross-functional meetings, take action items, and drive project execution through action follow-up • Engage with a cross-functional team on Engineering Change (EC) execution • Work alongside experienced engineers to support major design milestones, including PDR, CDR, FDR and DVT requirements deliverables • Work with experienced engineers to perform system and component requirements reviews and compliance assessments for complex engine control system components • Support experienced project engineers with engine control system component investigations using root cause and corrective action process (RCCA) • Execute development tasks aligned with Collins engineering standard work • Interface with component suppliers and other members of the integrated product development team (chief engineers, systems engineers, program management, etc.
) What You Will Learn • Critical features and operation of sensors and turbine engine control systems • Detailed knowledge on the design/development/sustainment phases of highly engineered aerospace products • Root cause and corrective action process and techniques • How to manage/execute project tasks in a fast-paced environment Qualifications You Must Have • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects. • Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply. RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
