What You Will Do The Precision Control and Actuation Systems department consists of more than 150 engineers working collab­oratively with internal and external customers and programs to provide innovative solutions for controlling ​product motion, including ground, sea, and air launched vehi­cles used by a variety of end users who depend on the quality and integ­rity of our systems.

Our systems in­clude control algorithms and firmware, ​electronic control units, ac­tuators containing high power mo­tors and precision gear trains, harnessing design, and other components for interfacing with the vehicle and packaging the control assemblies.

​Due to the highly cross-functional nature of these sys­tems, we are constantly looking for talented engineers with a system-so­lution mindset. ​ ​​ What You Will Learn You will contribute your knowledge of engineering practices and problem-solving to perform mechanical design and development activities.

You will support, contribute, and collaborate in a team environment, receiving inputs from program or team experts, and work on projects, determining and developing approaches and solutions.

Qualifications You Must Have • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related (STEM) major and actively • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session .

• Experience utilizing CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools such as CREO or equivalent​ • Experience with Engineering Analysis and Simulation software and programming tools such as MATLAB and Python​ • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects Qualifications We Prefer • Preferred majors: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.

• Experience in mechani­cal or electrical design, engineering, and analysis​ • Experience in manufac­turing methods and pro­cesses, including ma­chining, casting, forging, welding, and bonding​ • Experience in mechani­cal drawing practices, dimensioning, and tolerancing​ • 1 prior internship or co-op, and/or hands-on experience with club/team (i.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
