What you'll do
- For over 70 years, RTX BBN Technologies (BBN) has solved challenging problems through research, exploration, development, and prototyping.
- BBN’s Non-Kinetic Capabilities and Technologies team leverages computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, math, and physics to tackle customer challenges in electromagnetic warfare (EW), communications, cybersecurity, cyberspace operations, networking, and RF domains for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) customers.
- Develop next-generation cyber capabilities
- Create or investigate new types of cyber physical systems
- Develop exploits, implants, payloads, and communication stacks based on extensive reverse engineering, vulnerability analysis, and software development
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to solve challenging problems and deliver actionable results
What they want

- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or physics and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Experience in creative programming skills using one or more of: C/C++, Python or assembly language (x86/64, ARM, PPC, MIPS, etc.)
- Capture the Flag (CTF) experience
- OS kernel development experience (e.g., Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android)
- Reverse engineering skills using a tool such as IDA/Ghidra/BinaryNinja
- Network programming skills

- The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD.

What you will do

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
