Utility & HVAC Engineer Internship, January to June 2027

Help us   get ahead of disease together   with our   Vaccines   Business Area /   Engineering   Internship ,   2 0 2 7 : Education required:   Bachelor's D egree   from an accredited college/university, preferably in   Engineering (Chemical / Mechanical / Life Science discipline).

What will you do? • You will provide  e ngineering   support for   the  u tility team in   vaccine   facility. • You will support the  u tilities   (clean utilities & black   utilities )   and   HVAC team in routine operation,   maintenance   and continuous improvements .

• You will be involved in   quality trend   review and   drafting   the reports for quality review board. • You will be involved in   review of   standard operation procedures and safety   workplace   risk assessments.

• You will support   the asset care program to ensure both reliability and maintenance are world class. • You will be involved with   the team in   implementation   of facility improvement plans.

• Support in SAP Master data   and spare parts   management • Optimization   of maintenance and calibration plans in SAP System. • You may be asked to perform other activities as assigned by N+1 .

What will you learn? You will have opportunities to learn the following: • The different type of equipment that are used for vaccines manufacturing. • How the   utilities   equipment functions and the impact of each equipment have on the production system.

• Liaising with external contractors and vendors for equipment issues and improvement initiatives. • Liaising with   above   site (GSK sister plant outside Tuas) for sharing   issue   or   requesting for   support.

• Working closely with   quality   and production department on understanding problems that are contributed by utilities equipment. • Understanding and using the different   type   of modules in SAP for routine and ad-hoc activities.

• Deeper understanding the requirements of a vaccines site on producing vaccines. What are we looking for? • A lively interest in vaccines manufacturing, the commercial   world   and the biopharma industry • Appetite to work as a business partner, building strong relationships with key stakeholders • Adaptability to change and working under pressure • Excellent communication skills that help you influence • Strong problem-solving skills driven by curiosity • Drive and confidence to trust your own judgment • Basic   Proficient in use of IT and software/systems, ideally document management and database systems.
