As AI-driven data centers surge in energy demand and new policies reshape the landscape, utilities face a complex and evolving environment. Our practice empowers clients to embrace new business models and leverage emerging technologies to upgrade operations, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance, all while enhancing resilience and capturing market opportunities.
As an Intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals delivering consulting projects, both at client sites and within Guidehouse offices to deliver important engagements that drive tangible outcomes for our clients.
A key function of this role is to contribute to, create and present high-quality deliverables that support essential project workstreams. You will engage in research, analysis, documentation, and client-facing activities as part of a collaborative delivery team.
You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to drive impactful solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities may include : • Contributing to innovative problem-solving to drive outcomes for clients, leveraging cutting-edge methodologies and tools.
• Conducting comprehensive research and analysis to support project recommendations and solutions, inform strategic decisions, and develop actionable insights.
This may include data collection, market research and analysis, benchmarking, and economic modeling. • Applying problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify issues, develop solutions, and make informed decisions that align with client goals.
What You Will Need : • Applicants must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident • Minimum Degree Status: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program graduating between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028 • Ability to accommodate an expected Summer 2027 start date • Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment • Curiosity about the energy industry and a desire to make a tangible impact through consulting work • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, prioritize and plan work activities while meeting respective deadlines • Ability to work onsite in a core Guidehouse Office or Client Office location What Would Be Nice To Have : • Degree/Majors in Engineering (Environmental, Industrial, Mechanical), Energy, Environmental Policy Data Science, Information Technology, Business or a related discipline • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills • R, SQL, Analytica What We Offer : Guidehouse offers a comprehensive, total rewards package that includes competitive compensation and a flexible benefits package that reflects our commitment to creating a diverse and supportive workplace.
