And that’s where you come in. Job Description: The Contract Management Intern will support the Legal, Contracts and Compliance Department by assisting with contract administration, legal research, document management, compliance activities, and operational projects.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in Law, Business, Public Administration, or a related field to gain practical experience in providing commercial contract management support and develop an understanding of contract lifecycle management and corporate legal processes.
Key Accountabilities Contract Management Support • Assist with the preparation, review, formatting, and organization of contracts and legal documents.
• Support the contract lifecycle process, including tracking, execution, amendments, and archiving. • Maintain contract databases and document repositories to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
• Assist contract managers with day-to-day contract management activities. • Attend project meetings. Compliance & Risk Management • Support compliance initiatives by reviewing and organizing policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Assist with due diligence reviews as needed. • Help track legal and regulatory developments that may impact the organization. Administrative & Operational Support • Organize and maintain electronic and physical legal files.
• Assist with preparing standard legal templates and forms. • Support the coordination of document execution and signature processes. • Participate in special projects aimed at improving legal operations and contract management processes including Artificial Intelligence initiatives for the department.
Cross-Functional Collaboration • Liaise with internal stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Sales and Bids teams to obtain • information required for contracts and legal reviews.
• Assist with responding to routine inquiries regarding contracts, processes, and document status Key Requirements • Currently must be enrolled in a post-secondary program in Law, Business Administration, Public Administration, • Commerce, or a related field.
• Completion of coursework related to contracts, business studies is considered an asset. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Strong research and analytical capabilities. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience using AI tools such as CoPilot, ChatGBT, Gemini. • Experience with document management systems or contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools is an asset.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. • Professionalism and integrity. • Critical thinking and problem-solving. • Time management and prioritization.
