Join Howden Re's Market Engagement & Strategy team and discover how they manage strategic relationships across the reinsurance market. This is not a traditional broking role .

It’s a relationship focused and strategic role which combines communication, organisation, project support and data analysis. The 1 0 -week programme is designed to give you meaningful exposure to the world of reinsurance, while helping you develop the knowledge, professional skills and confidence to kick start your career.

Better still, our programme offers a direct pathway into our Autumn 2028 graduate roles, subject to business needs and individual performance. What you’ll be doin g?

You will begin with a structured induction before joining th e Market Engagement & Strategy team to work alongside experienced specialists on real client projects.

During the programme, you'll : • Take part in meeting s with reinsurance companies and learn how our team manages relationships with them. • Learn how the team gathers financial data and market feedback from internal brokers and translate s this into useful market insights for senior stakeholders.

• Support with preparing materials for internal and external presentations. • Play a key role in preparing for the Monte Carlo Reinsurance conference which will include support with arranging meetings, capturing key discussions and producing clear notes to share with the wider business.

Wh o are we looking for? No insurance experience is needed ; we’ll teach you everything you need to know! You'll be: • I n your penultimate year of study from any degree background.

• Someone who enjoys building relationships and communicating with a wide range of people. • Willing to contribute your thoughts and ideas during team discussions.

• Organised with strong attention to detail. • Able to take ownership of tasks and work independently. • Comfortable working with basic data. • Adaptable and comfortable working in fast-paced environments where priorities can shift.

• Online gamified assessment: We’ve created games that will help us understand your natural strengths and how you approach different situations. There are no right or wrong answers.

You can complete this stage on your phone or laptop, whichever suits you best! • Pre-recorded video interview: You will record your answers to a few questions using your phone or laptop, giving you the chance to tell us more about yourself in your own time in a relaxed setting.

• Assessment centre: Our final stage is an in-person assessment centre at one of our offices. You'll take part in some fun group activities and meet our team in a relaxed setting.

This day is all about getting to know you better and for you to see what it's like to be part of Howden and experience our culture. We'll cover all your travel costs for this day , because where you are now, shouldn’t hold back your future!
