2027 Summer Intern, Marketing and Communications Ready to make a difference? At ICF, our marketing and communications professionals help connect audiences with ideas, programs, and solutions that make a meaningful impact.
We are seeking a curious, collaborative, and motivated intern to support marketing and communications initiatives across the organization. Depending on business needs and the selected candidate’s interests and experience, the internship may align with a corporate function, specific business area or client portfolio, or specialized skill set.
Focus areas may include corporate or internal communications, integrated marketing, content development, digital marketing, paid media, campaign operations, social media, events, market research, or marketing analytics.
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting projects from planning and research through execution, measurement, and reporting. Although responsibilities, subject matter, audiences, and tools will vary by placement, each assignment will provide opportunities to develop transferable marketing and communications skills while collaborating with cross-functional partners.
This is an entry-level, 10-week, full time internship that begins in early June and ends in early August . At this time , we are unable to provide relocation assistance for internships at this time .
What You Will Be Doing Responsibilities will vary based on the internship assignment and may include: • Assist with drafting, editing, coordinating, and publishing marketing and communications materials, such as articles, newsletters, presentations, email campaigns, website content, social media posts, videos, and infographics.
• Support the planning and execution of integrated campaigns across digital and traditional channels. • Coordinate project timelines, creative requests, campaign materials, approvals, and stakeholder communications.
• Conduct research on audiences, industries, competitors, media opportunities, and emerging marketing trends. • Help collect and analyze campaign data, performance metrics, and audience insights to support reporting and recommendations.
• Assist with digital marketing, social media, paid media, website, or campaign operations activities based on the assignment. • Support events, webinars, workshops, and other internal or external engagement activities.
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing opportunities while contributing ideas and fresh perspectives. • Collaborate with marketing, communications, creative , media, analytics, operations, and business partners to complete projects and meet deadlines.

• Curiosity, adaptability, and an interest in learning new tools, industries, audiences, and marketing practices. • Proactive, dependable, and service-oriented approach to work.
• Interest or experience in one or more areas such as content development, corporate communications, social media, digital marketing, paid media, campaign coordination, research, analytics, graphic design, or event support.
• Familiarity with marketing, design, content management, analytics, or advertising platforms is helpful but not required unless specified for the assignment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. • Ability to meet any additional education, work-location, or assignment-specific requirements included in the individual posting.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is : $37,855.00 - $64,354.
