Requirements and eligibility
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Technology, E-commerce, International Business, Management, or a related field .
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and translate findings into clear actions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to organise complex information clearly and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Preferred, not required
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is strongly preferred , particularly for collaboration with China-based Product, R&D, and operational teams.
- Previous internship, academic project, or practical experience in e-commerce, technology, consulting, product, analytics, or operations would be a plus.

About Your Program You’ll be joining the JD Young (JDY) Internship Program, designed to give early-career talent hands-on exposure to real projects, real responsibilities, and real growth.
Over 3–6 months, you’ll work alongside experienced teams, build fundamental skills, and gain insights into how a global business operates. What you’ll do • Support product and seller experience initiatives by gathering and synthesising seller feedback, business requirements, market trends, and operational insights.
• Conduct seller, user, market, and competitor research to identify pain points, improvement opportunities, and relevant industry practices. • Support the preparation of business and product documentation, including BRDs, PRDs, process flows, functional requirements, and project trackers.
• Work with Product, R&D, Business, Operations, Compliance, Logistics, Customer Service, and other teams to track requirements, dependencies, actions, and delivery progress.
• Analyse seller and operational data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities to improve onboarding, listing, fulfilment, and after-sales experience.
• Support seller interviews and Voice of Seller initiatives, consolidate recurring feedback, and help translate findings into actionable product or process recommendations.
• Assist with prioritising requirements based on seller impact, business value, operational urgency, and implementation feasibility. • Monitor product launches and process changes, gather feedback, and support iterative improvements to functionality and seller experience.
• Maintain clear documentation, meeting notes, internal guidance, and project materials to support effective execution. • Support broader marketplace initiatives related to seller experience, operational scalability, and market or seller expansion.
About you • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Technology, E-commerce, International Business, Management, or a related field .
• Strong interest in product management, e-commerce, marketplaces, strategy, analytics, or operations . • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and translate findings into clear actions.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to organise complex information clearly and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable conducting research and turning user, seller, market, or competitor insights into structured recommendations. • Curious, willing to learn quickly, and able to take ownership of tasks through to completion.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is strongly preferred , particularly for collaboration with China-based Product, R&D, and operational teams.
• Experience with tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics tools is an advantage but not mandatory. • Previous internship, academic project, or practical experience in e-commerce, technology, consulting, product, analytics, or operations would be a plus.
