What you'll own

  • Assist in financial data entry, recording transactions, and maintaining financial records in accounting software or spreadsheets.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports, statements, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing, maintaining, validating, and updating standard costing information, including supporting the annual standard cost roll and periodic cost updates.
  • Support inventory-related activities, including physical inventory counts, reconciliations, and analysis of inventory or costing variances.

Requirements and eligibility

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/ diploma in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles; interest in cost accounting and manufacturing finance is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy and comfortable to handle large sets of numerical data.
  • Good Excel skills and comfort working with spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis.

Preferred, not required

  • Good knowledge on PowerBI is a plus.

• Support the preparation of financial reports, statements, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. • Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and ratio analysis, to assess financial performance and identify areas for improvement.

• Help with budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data, updating models, and preparing reports for budget meetings. • Assist in preparing, maintaining, validating, and updating standard costing information, including supporting the annual standard cost roll and periodic cost updates.

• Support inventory-related activities, including physical inventory counts, reconciliations, and analysis of inventory or costing variances. • Support the finance team with day-to-day operations and administrative tasks.

• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and insights. • Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and procedures.

• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information, adhering to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards. • Perform other duties as assigned by the finance team.

What We’re Looking For: • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/ diploma in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field.
