Job Description An internship for an automation engineer role is available for students with curious minds who have a passion in automation. In this role, you will be provided with full training and have an opportunity to develop and learn all about manufacturing process, getting hands on experience with various automation and data analytics technologies such as OEM PLC platforms from Rockwell\Siemens, BMS Control Systems, Distributed Control Systems and Power Bi Platforms.
You will contribute to the High Performance culture within the automation team, providing a flexible, accurate service to enable the department to achieve our Manufacturing Division key priorities.
You will be an active member of the Automation team reporting to the Site Automation Lead. Your primary responsibilities will include providing project support and support to Operations on a daily basis.
During your internship, you will have the opportunity to rotate across the various technology areas highlighted above. Responsibilities: • Development of Process Control Applications on various automation platforms • Provide day to day support to Operating Areas for Automation components of the process and collaborate with integrated process teams across the site.
• Ensure adherence with standards, following business processes in the execution and support of Automation systems • Manage daily tasks like user access reviews, backup and restore tasks, install\troubleshoot\decommission equipment • Participate in daily Tier calls, taking responsibility to collaborate with customers to address daily operational issues.
• Comply with Global Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, regulatory requirements and execute current Good manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the performance of day to day activities and all applicable job functions.
• Work collaboratively to drive a safe and compliant culture • Development and support of analytical dashboards to address business needs Core Competencies (Technical): • Some knowledge of Computer System Development Lifecycle is preferred • Some knowledge of automation systems is preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and job related computer applications required Core Competencies (Business): • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with all levels of colleagues in a team environment • Self motivated • Effective time management, multi-tasking and problem solving skills Qualifications Currently enrolled in an Automation, Engineering, Computer or other Technical discipline in 3rd level education.
