Job Description Job Purpose In this role, you will support the site Engineering and Maintenance organization as part of the Reliability Center of Excellence team.
You will gain exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and the associated engineering, cGMP, regulatory, and production requirements that govern equipment performance and compliance.
The role provides opportunities to work across multiple engineering disciplines, including process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
You will contribute to the site Reliability Program under the Hoshin framework, supporting initiatives focused on improving equipment availability, reducing recurring failures, and optimizing overall asset performance.
Reliability & Asset Health • Execute reliability programs to improve equipment availability, reduce repeat failures, and optimize lifecycle cost. • Drive systematic defect elimination by providing data analysis on failure modes of recurring equipment issues.
• Track reliability KPIs (e.g., unplanned downtime, repeat failure rate, MTBF/MTTR) and communicate performance trends and improvement actions. Asset & Spare Parts Management • Develop and maintain critical spares strategy (criticality, min/max, lead time mitigation, alternates) in collaboration with Supply Chain/warehouse, original equipment manufacturers and equipment owners.
• Ensure asset master data accuracy in CMMS to enable effective planning, execution, and analysis of maintenance work. Maintenance Excellence • Assists in the Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation (MEI) engineering providing troubleshooting support with the goal of increasing operational efficiencies and optimizing maintenance expenses.
• Assists in the support of unit operations and/or running the utility plant equipment. • Identifies, executes, and makes improvement on routine work activities.
• Assists in monitoring the performance and implementing Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) improvement initiatives (i.e., audits, training, etc). • Participates in SHE, Business Compliance, cGMP, and all other compliance-related matters, where applicable.
• Supervises and oversees Third Party Contractors, where applicable. • Completes job assignments by Supervisor pertaining to equipment, system, documentation, or housekeeping.
• Completes any other tasks as and when assigned by Supervisors. cGMP Standards • Understands and follows appropriate training in cGMP principles. • Shows basic knowledge of the principles and importance of cGMP regulations and Worldwide Quality Standards related to the execution of assigned work.
• Provides solutions to routine and a wide variety of problems ranging from simple to moderate in scope and complexity. • Develop ability to assess situations and escalation process.
Environment, Health & Safety • Consistently show safety behavior by demonstrating basic understanding of all safety procedures and standards. • Seek opportunities to improve company SHE standards and move company towards goal on injury free work place & better environment.
Qualification Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical or Instrumentation & Control Engineering) or equivalent. Technical Competencies • Develops an awareness of Engineering and Compliance standards through assigned tasks and training.
• Develops an awareness of the practical application of theoretical engineering knowledge. • Develops an understanding of planning related to assigned engineering role.
• Assists in planning activities related to assigned engineering role. • Assists in the providing of data to support risk-based decisions. • Develops competency in root cause analysis.
