Electrical Engineering Intern

Nordson is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to assist in troubleshooting field electronics issues, develop JTAG tests for new and existing electronics assemblies, and assist in creation of electrical schematics at the Golden Valley site.

This position will work closely with the Electrical Engineering and Firmware Engineering teams to improve product quality, delivery schedules, and productivity throughout the engineering development process.

The intern will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced research and development environment and contribute to meaningful projects that directly impact operational performance and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions: • Participate in design reviews of electrical schematics • Create and maintain JTAG tests for electronics assemblies • Assist in creation of electrical schematics • Assist in troubleshooting electronics assemblies that have shown non-conformities to a validated design Experience, Education, and Competencies Required: • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field • Experience or completed coursework in Electronics and Principles of Electronics Design • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment • Experience with schematic capture tools (OrCAD capture or similar) a plus • Experience with Verilog or VHDL a plus What You’ll Gain • Hands-on experience in the field of Electrical Engineering in a global technology company.
