Come explore Novanta. Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain intern to support daily purchasing, planning, and supply chain operations within the Motors BU.

This internship provides hands-on experience working with procurement, planning, inventory management, supplier performance, and cross-functional business teams.

The ideal candidate will gain exposure to real-world supply chain processes and contribute to initiatives that support operational efficiency, supplier performance, and continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities • Support non-inventory purchasing activities and maintain deliveries up to date • Support with vendor setup procedure • Participate in supplier performance tracking (OTD, LT, responsiveness) • Support cost and spend analysis for electronic components and PCBA • Help maintain and analyze inventory levels, safety stock, and consumption trends • Assist in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) analysis (review demand vs supply) • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Finance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams) • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and process optimization • Assist with data collection, reporting, and supply chain metrics analysis • Support special projects and other supply chain initiatives as assigned Competences • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Related field • Basic understanding of supply chain concepts (planning, purchasing, logistics) • Good analytical skills and attention to detail • Excellence in Excel • Strong communication skills in English Novanta is proud to be an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action workplace.
