Job description

State agencies may appoint interns from the eligible applicants to the State Internship Program or they may post a specific internship opportunity and select from those applicants who meet the program requirements.

The State Internship Program consists of temporary positions that could be part-time or full-time. Students enrolled in institutions of higher education and working toward an undergraduate degree (including  associate's  degrees or certifications by the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education) or a graduate degree are encouraged to apply.

Internships may be paid or unpaid and may include paid leave and holidays, and health and retirement benefits if eligible. I n order to maintain an internship appointment, an intern must  continue to make progress toward earning a degree until completion of all internship requirements.
